Margaret Fuller
The year is 1845, and Margaret Fuller is in town from Manhattan. Miss Fuller discusses her recently published book Woman in the 19th Century; reminisces about her growing up days in Cambridgeport and Boston; relates other pursuits as first editor of The Dial, and episodic encounters with the Transcendentalist circle including Brook Farm and Concord residents. A recognized leader of female Conversations while living in Boston, she is presently employed as the first female literary critic for the New York Tribune.ˆ Margaret engages the audience with characteristic verve and candor, regaling the audience about her family, friends, philosophy, and travel adventures.ˆ
